WHAT

Above anything else, God calls us to be in relationship. But what if we're too busy doing to stop and listen and catch up? Even Jesus took time to reflect often, to listen to God's call and to strengthen himself to respond. The Oblates have a rich devotional tradition and brought a fondness for Mary Immaculate and Our Lady of the Snows to Belleville.

HOW

Oblate Youth Ministry offers many opportunities for reflecting and refreshing your Spirit, and makes it all possible on the peaceful and inspiring grounds of the Shrine. We act as a resource to our community, helping youth ministers and religious educators plan retreats offering prayer and pilgrimage opportunities on Good Friday, welcoming pilgrims to the Shrine, and hosting Confirmation Spectacular. The Shrine also has thought-provoking and inspiring programs for enhancing Adult Spirituality.

Programs

Retreats:
The Shrine Youth Ministry staff offers a variety of retreats ranging from Sacramental to graduation and leadership. We encourage adult participation in order to further the faith of the youth and to empower their communities to enter into conversations of faith with all generations. The expected ratio of adults to youth is 1:7 on every retreat. In addition, your group is welcome to use our facilities to host your own retreat. Please contact us for more information.

Adult Leadership Education:
The Shrine offers a number of opportunities for adults to broaden their knowledge as well as deepen and strengthen their faith.
