WHAT

Sharing the Good News of the Gospel takes determination, bravery and perhaps above all - enthusiasm! Young people hold so much potential when it comes to sharing the Good News, excitedly and boldy reaching out to those who need to hear it most. The Oblates' motto is "Evangelize the Poor - The Poor Are Evangelized" and they believe that the poorest among us are those who don't know Christ.

HOW

Oblate Youth Ministry at the Shrine believes in the power of young people to affect the Church in positive ways and even to change the world. To celebrate and inspire that gift, we hold high-energy youth events like Youth Day Celebration and Confirmation Rally. We also host an in-depth, 9-day retreat and theatre witness camp called Youth Sing Praise. In all, we want to remind young people to answer a call to leadership and to celebrate with the energy of youth.
